
Area Located in the southwest of Jaen, belonging to the National Park of Jaen. Inside the area of Sierra Maguna, Pico Aguila with 2.167 m. is the highest mountain. There are 16 villages in this province: Albanchez de Magina, Bedmar-Garciez, Belmez de la Moraleda, Cabra del Santo Cristo, Cambil-Arbuniel, Campillo de Arenas, Carcheles, Huelma-Solera, Jimena, Jodar, La Guardia, Larva, Mancha Real, Noalejo-La Hoya del Salobral, Pegalajar-La Cerradura y Torres. Nine of them are considered protected and reserved area by the Natural Park, the biggest ones are Cambil and Torres. The administrative capital of this region is Jodar. There is a population of 56.000 people aprox.
The gastronomy of Sierra Magina is well known by its excellent oil one of the best of Spain it is sale under de name of Denominacion de Origen "Sierra Magina".
